Democratic Presidential nominee Joe Biden is formally being marked as a criminal suspect by high level Ukraine Government officials in a vital case involving his son hunter.
The story began in 2016 when Joe Biden forced the firing of Ukraine’s Chief Prosecutor, Victor Shokin. This very incident has taken a new twist in the month of this year, 2020 just as the former Vice President is nominated as the Democratic Presidential in America.
In the later part of June 2020 in Kiev, District Court Judge S.V Vovk ordered the law enforcement services of the country to list the fired prosecutor, Victor Shokin as the victim of an alleged crime conducted by former US Vice President, Joe Biden.
In February, Shokin claimed that he was fired in spring of 2016 under the sheer pressure of Joe Biden because he was investigating the Burisma Holding case, the natural gas company where Biden’s son, Hunter, was a board director. Based on the claim, the court had already instructed the Prosecutor’s general office and the State Bureau of Investigation to investigate on this issue in the same month.
The court stated that there were enough evidence to support Shokin’s claim that Biden pressured the then Ukraine President, Petro Poroshenko. The former Vice President threatened to withdraw the $1 billion in U.S. Loan Guarantee which directed the way to relieve Shokin who was doing the investigation as the Chief Prosecutor.
But when the law enforcement agencies opened the file, it did not reveal the name of Biden as the plan-maker behind the crime, instead they included the defendant as the unnamed American.
Later, Vovk realized that the anonymous listing was improper and ordered law enforcement agency to formally name Biden as the accused one who did the entire thing.
The orders of the ruling was- “a competent person of the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine who conducts procedural management in criminal proceedings No. 62020000000000236 dated February 24, 2020 to enter information into the Unified register of pretrial investigation, a summary of facts that may indicate the commission of a criminal offense under Paragraph 2 of Article 343 of the Criminal procedure code of Ukraine on criminal proceedings No. 62020000000000236 dated February 24, 2020, namely: information on interference in the activities of the former Prosecutor General of Ukraine Shokin, Viktor Mykolaiovych performed by citizen of the United States of America Joseph Biden, former U.S. Vice President.”
Oleksandr Ivanovych Teleshetskyi, the attorney of Shokin confirmed ruling just as the news but not something official.
“Viktor Shokin publicly appealed to the president of Ukraine with a request to properly respond to illegal inaction in the investigation of criminal cases that are open against Joseph Biden,” Teleshetskyi said. “Let me remind you that they were discovered precisely as a result of the statement of Viktor Shokin.”
Biden confirmed on a video tape that he forced the then Ukraine President Petro Poroshenko to fire Shokin in 2016 by withdrawing the loan guarantee of $1 billion but he denied that it had anything to do with the Burisma case. In fact, he said that he and other western leaders did not consider Shokin as an efficient fighter against corruption.
Shokin just snapped off the Democrat’s claims that he was fired because of incompetency by showing the letter from US State Department in 2015 where they praised Shokin’s plan.
A Ukrainian Parliamentary member released what he called the excerpts of a phone call of the then Secretary of State Jon Kerry, former Vice President Joe Biden and the then Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko where they discussed the Burisma case and Shokin’s removal. Neither of the three officials confirmed the authenticity yet of the recordings.
The development of the criminal investigation is highly anticipated as this might affect the candidacy of the Democratic Presidential nominee.
